The Half-Orc Wizard 11-29-06, 05:58 PM	The Monster Manual lists the "Ape" as a Large Animal, but is that really fair? Adult Males are listed as being 5 1/2 to 6 feet tall and 300-400 lbs. While, certainly, they are larger than nearly all humans, but a half-orc could certainly reach that (they are usually taller, but maybe a bit ligther). I think considering them as a "large" animal is a bit much. They certainly are nowhere near as big as an ogre (not even close). I know sizes arn't governed by extremely strict rules, but what do you think? Personally, I would list the Ape as a medium animal (especially considering that they are similar in many ways to humans).
