Arcane Dragon PrC??? [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-13-04, 01:33 AM Whats up with the utter lack of Arcane PrC for Dragons in the Draconomicon? I See Plenty of Divine PrC but no Arcane.

Here is your Challange, should you Choose to accept it: To Create the coolest Arcane PrC for Dragons ... This Messege will Self Distruct in ... Ahh! I'm Burning, I'm Burning! Put Me Out! ...

Requirments to Qualify:
1. Must have a Prerequisite of Type Dragon
2. Must Advance Arcane Caster lvl no Fewer then Four Times
(You May Change to Non-Spontanious Arcane Caster Type if You Wish)
3. Must Progress over 12 Levels.
4. Must be Balanced.

02-13-04, 05:41 PM Yeah I thought that that was weird that there was none. I also think its good to point out there for normal races there are no sorcerer PrC's which is the only class that is supposed to be directly related to dragons. Weird

02-14-04, 02:05 AM Your absolutely right. There are only two PrC that make me think of Sorcerer and they both are only suited for Sorc/XX Class Progression. The DD can be tacken Either by the Bard or Sorcerer, but is more suited for Bard or Sorcerer/Warrior Multi-Classing. And the Spell Sword wich is very much more suited for the Sorcerer than any other Class still is a Fighter/Sorcerer Multi-Class. Its best Progression is 6 Fighter/4 Sorcerer/10 Spell Sword by 20 Lvl. and Requires taking Arcane Strike as soon as it is available to be a real Viable PrC. While Wizards have a dozen or so PrC that Don't Require Multi-Classing at All.

Still Dragons More then Any Creature in the Game Emote the Power of innate Spell Casting. Why Not Give them a PrC that Utilizes This Quility? Care to Give you Hand a Try?

02-14-04, 02:48 PM There was a decent arcane PrC in the issure of Dragon Magazine that focused on dragons. The Dragon Mystic was only five levels, but was a decent class. I was, however, dissappointed that the Draconomicon didn't include any arcane PrCs for either dragons or the followers and enemies of dragons.

02-15-04, 09:17 PM Ok, People are not getting the point of this thread. The point is not to comment on the lack of Dragon Arcane Prc's but to create them and then submit them, for fun or for critique by peers or just to see what people can come up with.
