Arcane Ooze vs. Warlock [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-19-07, 02:44 PM Arcane Oozes(MMIII) have the ability to siphon spells from arcane casters, and gain temp HP based on the level of spell that they steal. How would this affect a warlock, who is still technically an arcane caster, but doesn't have spell levels/spells per day?

08-19-07, 03:09 PM Well, iirc (I've never actually played a warlock - I'm going off of crystalkeep here), there is an effective spell level for invocations - to set any save DCs by. Use this for spell level. As for losing the slot, I'd look to the spellthief and what happens when you steal an invocation. The warlock loses access to that one invocation for one minute or until the temp HP is exhausted by new damage.
