I can't remember when and I can't find it by the search function, or on the monster FAQ. Could someone point me to the thread, or quote it for me? Thanks. |
| Edymnion10-21-06, 12:26 AM | Essentially, the CRs for dragons assume that the party is not stupid and have prepared specifically for the encounter. If you just drop a dragon on the party unexpectedly, yes, the dragon is going to be MUCH stronger than it's CR suggests. General rule of thumb, if the party isn't prepared for a dragon encounter, raise it's CR by about 2. |
| RagingAngel10-21-06, 07:24 AM | I agree with Edymnion. I was on a 6th level party that got jumped by a green juvenile dragon. The DM played it perfectly. It never landed once and strafed the party to death. Even those who managed to jump on horses didn't make it.. Raging |
