Are the mounts of the Nazgul (Lord of the Rings) Fiendish or Shadow Wyverns? [Archive] - Wizards Community

I would say fiendish, or actually, half-fiend, as it's more powerful. Shadow creature are pseudo-intangible or otherwise misty-formed, if I remember correctly, and that doesn't seem to fit the Nazgul's mounts.
Or you could just take the twink's road and add both templates. I would also suggest giving it a fear aura like a true dragon.

Give them a back pair of legs and get rid of the tube on their head and you'd have a fell beast more or less.

Actually, if you could add a half-wyvern template (nonexistant to my knowledge) to an yrthak and then make it fiendish or a half-fiend...VOILA.

You have a fell beast...more or less.
