Are there animal templates in oriental advetures? [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-04-07, 03:43 PM i am thinking of buying oa and i was just wandering what was really in ti. i think i read something about templates for various animals such as hares/rabbits and foxes. so if anyone has the book could they please shed some light on it?

08-12-07, 12:51 PM As far as I remember, there are no new stats for animals, although it might be possible to put some together from the Hengeyokai entry.

There are no templates for animals; the only transformed animal is the onikage which is a horse resurrected as an undead.

The hengeyokai was a shapechanger race that has three forms: human, animal, and hybrid (somewhat like lycanthropes). In the OA 3.5 update in Dragon #318, it is now a humanoid (shapechanger) type. The various animal forms are: badger, carp, cat, crab, crane, dog, fox, hare, monkey, raccoon dog (in the RW these are beautiful Japanese canids with eye spots), rat, sparrow, and weasel.
