Would Hexblade and Blackguard levels be associated or non-associated for advancing a Succubus?

That can be rather subjective. In one example I saw, a giant with a few levels of sorcerer could be done either way. If his sorcery was of great use to him in his usualy role as a basher, then they would be associated levels. (Bull's Strength, mage armor, etc.)
If not, then they would be non-associated levels.

So--ask yourself, "How much does it boost her effectiveness?"

If the scenario is primarily diplomatic--perhaps exposing her at a ball--then ythey would likely be non-associated levels. If a fight with her is a key part of things, then call them associated levels. There's no hard and fast rules for a lot of things...

yeah, the MM guidelines would seem to suggest that they'd be non-associated. But considering they give her significant save boosts and make her dominate and charm abilities much more effective I was leaning toward associated.

Paladin is a non-associated class for succubi....I suppose blackguard could be given preferential treatment as well...:P

As both are mostly warrior classes and your typical succubus generally perfers more magical and/or subtle roles that keep them as far away from melee combat as possible i'd say non-associated although an exeption could probably be made for the Hexblade.
