I am preparing for an encounter and want to make sure I adjudicate it correctly. I have a player who is half-black dragon, as such he enjoys an immunity to acid. As far as I can ascertain from the 3.5 DMG pg 214 his magic items will not need to make a saving throw in a fight with a gray ooze (MM pg 202)? His mundane items are still vunerable to acid destruction in the RAW, are they not? Do they get saving throws or does the ooze roll for overcoming the items hardness? It's Acid (ex) states that anything hit by the Ooze, or that hits the ooze must make a saving throw or dissolve immediately. In the next paragraph, where it says that the oozes touch deals 16 points of damage, and must remain in contact for one full round I am assuming the intent is toward unattended items?
