12-02-05, 12:56 AM Post your monsters to my forum (see sig) then repost them a bit at a time after the prune.

That way, your critters are saved and Doxxie doesn't have to hurt you for all the bumping he said not to do.

12-02-05, 12:26 PM I'd reccommend making backup copies of your threads in compendiums and such, just in case someone with buttery fingers accidentally deletes all the D&D forums in their entirety. The download thread link under thread tools at the top is useful for this. Just make a new folder for your threads and start downloading backups to it (although in your case, VT, I suggest a new hard-drive to hold all of yours, ;))

I would suggest getting a web page.

The reason of the prune is to clean up the boards. It defeats the prune if everything gets bumped, which is why I've been telling folks that just bumping things to avoid the prune won't work.

And we need the threads themselves to be cleaned up. Rather than bumping a 30 page thread with lots of un-related responses, just the first post should be re-posted.

And bumping threads to avoid the prune will NOT save them. It paints a big red target on them.

And if bumping doesn't work, then what will actually be saved? My Phrenicalis Animalis thread is almost completely relevant to the thread, and is in an Index of saved threads. Will that be saved? Have many dozens of creatures there converted for folks.

Uh, ok, thanks for that tip. I spent the rest of yesterday afternoon downloading all 251 threads :twitch: I've ever subscribed to. Anyway, I hope the Draconomicon errata and new dragon ideas threads I bumped pass muster. And someone might want to consolidate all the threads about true dragon hybrids, since it is a regularly recurrent topic.

12-04-05, 09:52 AM The 3rd Dec has come and gone and I can still access the 2003 threads. So why the scare? I wasted 200 MB of my monthly Internet limit to download all the stuff linked from compendiums!
