Avenger of Pelor template An Avenger of Pelor is a very rare type of undead created when Pelor takes notice of a brave and worthy individual either slain by an undead with the create spawn ability, or subjected to a spell that animates the dead. The victim rises as an undead, but with this template instead of whatever it would normally be. At least initially, the Avenger is always bent on defeating the menace posed by evil undead. Appearance: The Avenger looks much like it did in life, but free of any infections it might have had. Hit dice: Change all current and future HD to d12. Type: Change to undead, with the augmented subtype. Abilities: Str +4, Con -- Holy Toughness: It gains bonus hp per HD equal to its Charisma bonus (minimum +1). Divine Grace: It gains a bonus to saving throws equal to its Charisma bonus (minimum +1). This does not stack with the paladin ablity. Immune to Turning, holy or unholy water, positive energy, fire, and sun-based magic such as Searing Light, and the spells control undead and command undead. It is not healed by negative energy, but is not damaged either. Fast Healing 5 Eyes of Pelor (su): As a free action, it can cause its eyes to glow with light like that of the sun, shedding light like a torch in a 120 degree arc in front of it. This gives it a –8 penalty on hide checks, but a +4 bonus to Charisma, and allows it to use its spell-like abilities. This can be discontinued as a free action. If the Avenger loses the favor of Pelor, this ability is lost. Spell-like abilities (sp): At will – detect undead, protection from evil, searing light. 1/day – sunburst. The caster level is equal to its HD, and the save DC is charisma based. These abilities can only be used while Eyes of Pelor is active. Sunlight empowerment (su): In natural sunlight, it gains +4 to strength and +2 to charisma. Turn undead (su): As a 4th level cleric. This stacks with any cleric levels. Eyes of Pelor counts as a holy symbol for this purpose. Alignment: Always good CR: As base creature +2 LA: +4
