turtlemonkey 09-25-06, 12:41 PM	My question concerns using awaken on a brown bear, and more specificly its bab. when you use the spell the animals type changes to magical beast, the biggest difference is animials 3/4 bab, and magical beast bab... now once awaken is over do u have a 8 HD bear with 6 bab (6 HD of animal that netted 4 bab, and 2 HD from awaken spell that is magical beast and nets u +2 bab) or do u have a 8 HD awakened bear with 8 bab? i have a feeling is the first one, but just checking to make sure
runestar 09-26-06, 11:33 PM	Only its type changes to magical beast, for its stats, you still continue using animal HD for now and forevermore.;) So its actually neither of your 2 options. The awakened bear now has 8 animal HD(despite it being of the magical beast subtype), and has +6bab by virtue of those 8 animal HD.:)
