Awakening a tarrasque [Archive] - Wizards Community

09-18-06, 09:52 AM A tarrasque sleeps for long periods of time, wakes up on a whim, rampages through and eats villages, then takes a nice long nap. It sounds as if the tarrasque is a deep sleeper, so as a DM what do you think would rouse a tarrasque from his slumber? What actions in the vicinity of the tarrasque would not awaken it?

09-18-06, 10:17 AM I would rule that anything that deals more than 50 damage to Big T would do it.

Similarly, an Earthquake, Storm of Venegeance, etc would do the trick.

09-18-06, 01:31 PM For fun I would have a party walking through a forest or swamp as a small barb of a plant or animal causes a small cut and the smell of blood in the vicinty wakes Big T into a rage for gore :)
