| malykoth11-01-04, 09:02 PM | Never actually saw this addressed, but in an issue of Dragon magazine, they had savage species version breakdowns of the metallic dragons. In that, a first level dragon (which was a hatchling) had 1 HD. They don't get much tougher than dragons, so I'd guess nearly any other type of baby creature would have no more than 1 HD...probably much less. |
| RavinRay11-02-04, 03:57 AM | I found a PDF from an 3rd-party company (Fantasy Flight Games, AFAIK, the publisher of Draconic lroe which I bought at a clearance sale), and it has a PDF that includes a template for "reducing" (as opposed to advancing) monsters into younger stats. If I find it I can either post the URL or send it to anyone interested. I recall it also has a section on stitching another monster's body part ala half-golems. |
| The_Dark_One11-02-04, 04:45 AM | Now, thanks to this thread, I have an image in my head that will be very difficult to remove. A little big-eyed cartoon Ilithid (Mind Flayer) clutching its little lunchbox in its mouth-tentacles and waiting for the schoolbus. God I am so tired and bored :embarrass |
