| Duskey06-19-03, 11:19 AM | I met one in Icewind Dale 1. It something about an elf who's mission in life wasn't done and now is stuck on the material plane, not like a ghost, but there in flesh and blood. Where can I find some D&D 3rd info on this? |
| The Abominable Darkling06-19-03, 11:25 AM | A baelnorn is just an elven lich, albeit a good one. Baelnorns accept lichdom to serve their families, acting as guardians and counsilors. You can find their stats in Monsters of Faerun. As far as I can tell, Larrel is rather unusual for baelnorn and should probably just be called a lich. |

But don´t worry, it only has a small section, so you´re not really missing out on anything if you don´t have the book. The Abominable Darkling´s reaction pretty much sums it up. |
| ruleslawyer06-19-03, 01:52 PM | Effectively, the baelnorn is a lich that uses an elf of non-evil alignment as the base creature, does not force an alignment change to "any evil," and has two new special qualities: Projection and Turning Immunity. Those are detailed in Monsters of Faerun. |
