Aura of Good (EX): The power of a paladin’s aura of good (see the detect good spell) is equal to her paladin level, just like the aura of a cleric of a good deity.

Smite Evil (SU): Three times per day, a paladin may attempt to smite evil with one normal melee attack. She adds her Charisma bonus (if any) to her attack roll and deals 1 extra point of damage, plus any additional bonuses for high Strength or magical effects that would normally apply.

Lay on Hands (Su): A Paladin can heal 21 points of damage.

Aura of Courage (SU): A paladin is immune to fear (magic or otherwise). Each ally within 10 feet of her gains a +4 morale bonus on saving throws against fear effects. His ability functions as long as the Paladin is conscious but not if unconscious or dead.

Divine Health (EX): A paladin is immune to all diseases including supernatural ones.

Turn Undead (SU): A paladin has the supernatural ability to turn undead. He may use this ability 6 times per day. He turns undead as cleric of three levels lower would.

Breath Weapon (SU): 30-foot cone of cold, once per day, damage 6d8, Reflex DC 14 half.

Ballanor Silverhorn is a half-dragon who never knew his father. He was adopted by the church of St. Cuthbert in Cauldron. He was trained in the way combat and defends Cauldron with his blade. He never uses his claws or teeth, preferring to keep them trimmed and underneath thick leather gloves. Even though he is a son of a silver dragon, he is slightly embarrassed by his racial nature. He wishes he were human, even though he would lose his thick skin and strong muscles. Ballanor is a stern believer in justice and St. Cuthbert.

Hooks:
-Ballanor learns that his father has a lair in the north. He prepares for revenge. He hopes to confront his father (and hopefully kill him) for the pain he has suffered through. He needs the heroe’s help.

-Ballanor’s Paladin mount, a warhorse named Sir Garron, was killed while fighting a necromancer’s horde. The necromancer Jerick, animated Sir Garron and uses him as a personal mount. Ballanor must save his fallen friend and give him a proper burial.

Whew! That took me at least two hours to make! Something that I feel very strongly about, is that Wizards should put out a book of monsters with classes or templates and NPCs. This would be better than making a Monster Manual that has some Ogres with classes. The only problem is, what would Wizards go about calling the book? The Book of NPCs? Wizards would never do that because it sounds too much like a third-party PDF.

Which is why if I ever write a DnD book, it will be a book full of NPCs and Monsters with classes and templates. This is my first one, let me know what you think.

'Nuff Said!
