Oh um... just so people dont freak out its not going to be played a a PC in a real campaign... My DnD group decided to Have a few Player Vs Player Matches just to have some fun and he challenged two of us to make 100 ECL's and pit them against each other. Its meant to be incredibly epic in other words. |
| Starmage2111-18-04, 11:38 AM | +22 level adjustment would mean a Balor straight from the book is level 42, which might not be correct. The pit fiend is only a +18 level adjustment I think, and the balor has less powers, but more HD. Id say it would be closer to 18-20. |
| Caitiri11-18-04, 11:44 AM | Ok then split the difference and go with 20 it seems resonable to me Thank you for pointing out pit fiends LVL Adj |

Ohhh....how about playing a Great Wyrm Pyroclastic Dragon? ECL 50 or so, raise con as much as possible to raise the breath weapon DC up...then just disinigrate them! Of course, I'm not terribly familiar with the magic items available at such high level, so it is very possible that there is something that makes you immune to disinigration. If that's the case, a Great Wyrm Gold Dragon would be a great race to be as in a ECL 100 match (for most of the same reasons as the Pyroclastic Dragon). |
| wtfpwned11-21-04, 04:37 AM | GAHHH, I hate this about ALL of the monster books, gahhh. Why dont they bother to include ALL LA's...regardless of how stupid a monster would be to play. A balor would have to be higher then 20. Its a CR 20 monster. It seems with the higher lvl monsters its ECL is its CR + 4-8 |
| feargrant11-21-04, 12:43 PM | Well I have a nice little tactic since I picked up the Warcraft III books. You see the Warcraft Naga females can have multiple arms, each set adds +1 to level adjustment to their original +1, so that fighter with multiweapon fighting. When the character reaches epic, perfect multiweapon fighting. So I currently have one with a +4 level adjustment and is a first level fighter with scimitars. Monsters add some nice roleplaying elements, very much so when when you have four sets of arms and scimitars. |
