balor vs pit fiend weight [Archive] - Wizards Community

09-16-04, 02:40 PM In the 3.5 MM it says a pit fiend is 12 ft tall at weighs 800 pounds. It says a balor is also 12 feet tall but weighs 4500 (!!) pounds. Why is a balor so much heavier? Is it made out of depleted uranium or something?

No, seriously, it's because the people who are in charge of designing creatures have a tendancy to randomly determine a creature's height/weight (even if those numbers don't match the creature's size catigory).

Nah, the weight numbers seemed to be rolled complete randomly. They rarely make sense and are best ignored.
