Would a Psuedo-Dragon be able to take levels in Bard? And if so, what instrument could it play? It isn't very large and it can't talk [Aside from animalistic noises]. I was thinking that maybe they would be able to play a drum, but it's fairly small and I'm not sure if it would make sense for a psudo-dragon to be able to play a drum and be heard over the sound of combat.

Anybody have any ideas?

One can sing without speaking, so the psudo dragon could realisticly do the same thing.

Ever read The Harper Hall Trilogy by Anne McCaffrey? There's these little dragons in it called Firelizards that can sing, and it's described as pretty aw inspireing to those that hear it. You could have the psudo-dragon do the same. :)

No I haven't, but maybe I'll give it a look. May be of some use. Thanks for the info.

If anybody has other suggestions, go ahead...I'm still open.

A pseudodragon would probably be able to sing telepathically.

Maybe ghost sound could help. Make a magic insturment with a built in "amp". With a maxium volume of 20 humans at CL5 you could have some pretty loud drums.

Another idea maybe a horn. They're very loud and are great for charging into battle.
