| The Human Target10-21-05, 01:29 PM | What do you think the stats adjustments for a Barghest abilities would be, and what do you think it's LA would be if you didn't add in any of it's HD or HD based feats, skills, etc. ? I've got a Player who might like to play be one in an evil game, and I like the idea. But I'm trying to figure out how practical it would be. |
| Wyrd Bearer10-21-05, 02:49 PM | I'd not allow it. The player (who will experience many battles as opposed to an NPC) will have plenty of corpses to feed on, which means that PCs HD, Str, Con and Natural Armour will be increasing at too fast a rate compared to the rest of the party. |

(for the Barghest it looks like +6, +4, +2, +4, +4, +4)... I would make it's level adjustment at least +7, if I was feeling very generous, probably more like +9, which when coupled with it's base 6 outsider HD would give a total ECL of the 13-15 range if you took away the racial HD and base feats, the ECL would be the same in the +7 to +9 range, but you would not have to add the racial HD to the ECL, there for it would simply be the same as its level adjustment. |

And he wouldn't have the feeding ability, which I don't think makes any sense for the Barghest to even have in the first place. Just the ability mods and powers. |
