09-22-04, 10:20 PM When a Bebilith uses it's web attack it functions like a net (attack) that has 14 hp. What then, if a fighter chooses to attack the web to free the captive; which AC would he have to hit and would a hit deal damage to the web and trapped creature alike? Would the trapped creature risk dealing damage to itself if it should choose to attack the web?

09-23-04, 03:14 AM I'd play it as an attempt to Sunder a net. Furthermore, half the damage would be inflicted on the trapped person.

Otherwise, if he's taking his time (non-combat situation), and uses a light weapon (like a dagger) to tear away the webbings, then I'd let him deal damage to the web without hurting his entrapped fellow.
