| The Admiral10-16-04, 09:25 PM | A question came up about that if say a neutral werewolf (normally CE) bites someone, what alignment would they go to when they transform? Would it be the normal CE or would they chance to the alignment of the wereworlf that bit them? |
| Thomar_of_Uointer10-17-04, 11:09 AM | Chaotic Evil. The MM describes this. The character must make a Will save each time he shapeshifts unwillingly to keep from changing alignment, and forfeits his Will save when he shapeshifts willingly. Accquired lyanthropes are always the base alignment, and natural lycanthropes can be one step away from the base alignment. |
| Garith Dragonborn10-17-04, 12:05 PM | basically what Thomar said, but pls, don't insult lycanthropes by calling them Lycans. yes the movie was ok but call them by their real names! |
| Lycanthropic Zack10-17-04, 09:29 PM | i agree, lycanthropes have rights to! speaking of lycanthropes, ive only just started making them in my games and im realy stumped on the following aspect: there Saves!! it says in the creation section to add the base save modifiers of both base creatures, but when i do i get insanely high stuff like Fort 9, Ref 5 and Will3 for a level one when in the example it shows a werewolf (the lycanthrope im making) with considerably lower Fort and odd Ref and Will bonuses. so my million dollar question: how do i come up with a werewolf's (or any lycanthrope's) Save????? |
| Judicator Shekar10-17-04, 09:57 PM | No, the movie was NOT ok. I mean, seriously, "light bullets"? The dialogue was soo poor that the movie should be watched with the mute button on to prevent the viewers from becoming stupid. Also, I can buy the outfit that Kate Beckensale wore through the WHOLE movie for like 20 bucks at the local S&M shop. Wow, damn bad movie, and a kick in the groin to the vampire legend. |
| Garith Dragonborn10-18-04, 09:04 AM | seriously, oh and the real question is would you buy the out fit?!? |

Actually, Natural Lycanthropes can be any alignment, though they are "Usually" within one step of their species norm. |

Well, the movie did take some serious liberties with the vampire and werewolf mythologies, but "Underworld" was also one of the few movies with either vampires or werewolves in it that I wasn't so bored to tears that I stopped watching the movie. Overall, I quite enjoyed "Underworld." |
| Garith Dragonborn10-18-04, 04:52 PM | Gank you have lost all speaking privlages *casts scilence* Yes successful |
| The Dark Lord of Nessus10-18-04, 05:13 PM | To merely stop at casting silence is a bit lenient, don't you think? I believe we should continue with cutting his tongue out for such vile thoughts and speech! |
| PearlJamaholic10-18-04, 06:11 PM | more off topic stuff. i didnt like dracula or interview, the moives. the books were good though, ok i lie the books are great. is they any chance id like underworld? or would i turn it into science theater. maybe if im lucky ill see it in hell. so why waste the 2 hours now? right? so i dont waste another post off topic. where did i mention that dracula the movie sucked? |
| Garith Dragonborn10-19-04, 04:24 PM | Pearl you have lost speaking privlages for saying that Dracula suked. Silence*successful* hahaha. i will let Th Dark Lord do the torturing. I just love watching people try to scream , but can't. *maniacal laughter!* |

I just love watching people try to scream , but can't. *maniacal laughter!* I could cast "silence" right back at Garith, but wait...everyone has a right to an opinion even if you don't agree with it. It behooves you to keep that in mind... But really, we should get this thread back on-track with trying to help The Admiral... |
| CatoTurk10-19-04, 07:00 PM | Back on topic...by the RAW afflicted lycanthropes have to save or be the specified alingment. However since I hate this rule I use a variant were they have to make a DC10 will save whenever they chance, or become a NPC under my control for however long they are in animal or hybrid form. The DC inscreases by 1 for each previous successful save, until they fail, and it goes back to 10. This Ive found works pretty well, also it more accuratly reflects the lycanthropes inability to control himself. I dont useualy have him instantly attack his friends, in general he attacks the closest creature, and only attacks, no spells or special abilities the base animal wouldent use. So a werewolf cleric can trip like a wolf, but if he fails his save he cant cast spells or turn. |
