is there any monster that can defeat the Tarrasque without any help? by defeat I mean slay it so that it at least appears dead that's normally the step before using wish or miracle to keep it dead.:duel:

Great. Wyrm. Red. Dragon.
Seriously, most of the great wyrms can take on the tarrasque and win. I'd also put a Solar up against it.

Heck a Balor could do it, and they are the same CR. He could even finish the job.

Balor doesn't have Wish... Pit Fiend does, 1/year.

A solar could pelt it with slaying arrows, wait for it to roll a natural 1 on its fort save, then seal the deal with its wish SLA.

An allip would eventually drain the tarrasque's wis to 0, which while not the same thing as killing it, is good enough when you consider the allip's cr.

Don't epic weapons still count as magic weapons? If so, the allip would just die instantly.

If not, that's a really funny way to killed the Tarrasque.

They count as magic/epic only for the purposes of overcoming dr. An allip, being incorporeal, requires a weapon with an actual +1 enhancement bonus to injure.
In case you are wondering, yes, it means that a 4th lv monk can't damage incorporeal foes either. He still needs his fists enchanted with magic fang/weapon.:)

I don't know:

It can be harmed only by other incorporeal creatures, magic weapons or creatures that strike as magic weapons, and spells, spell-like abilities, or supernatural abilities.

When in doubt, consult the FAQ.:)
Does the monk’s ki strike (magic) only allow her to overcome damage reduction or does it make her natural attacks count as magic weapons for all effects (such as affecting incorporeal opponents)?

The Player’s Handbook states that ki strike affects the monk’s unarmed strikes “for the purpose of dealing damage to creatures with damage reduction,” but says nothing about anyother effects. Thus, the monk’s unarmed attacks aren’t considered magic weapons for any other purpose, including affecting incorporeal foes.

The great wyrm has something wrong with it if can't take out the Tarrasque.

If by no other means than exploiting the falling damage rules.

There's a reason the Tarrasque still exists: the Dragons consider it a curiosity and feel it's a shame to kill the sole one in existence. :)

The most common strategy I offer for players asking, "How do I kill the Tarrasque?!?!?!" is simply to hire a Great Wyrm, and let them deal with it. :P

Monks are not Tarrasques. Tarrasques are not monks.

What do you think "or creatures that strike as magic weapons" is talking about?

Black Stone Gigant. Similar strategy to the Solar, but at a little more risk, as it'd have to go hand-to-hand(...to-hand-to-hand...). Just sit back and slap it around, waiting for the Natural One to petrify. After petrification, the Gigant can then control the Tarrasque statue.

It should not matter, since both use the same means of attack. A monk's ki strike can't injure incorporeal foes, why should a tarrasque's natural weapons, which operate under the same mechanics, be any different?

I acknowledge that line you keep posting. All I can say is that it could be one of those lines which means nothing. I have no idea either.

Or the FAQ is just wrong. Either the line is completely meaningless or creatures that get past DR X/magic also can hurt incorporeal critters. Or there's some creature out there that strikes as a magic weapon in all cases. I've never heard of that, though.

Possible. I admit that the line could be interpreted either way.

Hmm...intelligent weapons?:embarrass
