Standing over 10 ft. tall at the shoulders, its appearance is like a gigantic boar made of a gleaming copperish metal. Lightning crackles and dances across its massive tusks, occasionally arcing across to the other. Thunder Tusks are war machines created for a conflict between a nation of wizards, and a society of forest-dwelling druids. The wizards created the Thunder Tusks in cruel mockery of nature, and as a final insult to the druids as they where overran by the towering automatons. Now that the war is over, these leviathans serve to guard their former masters' tombs, or maintain their final orders; guarding a room, a chest, or perhaps even their undead master. Many of the wizards involved in the war where necromancers, and it stands to reason at least one of them was clever enough to discover the route to lichdom. Weighing in at about 36,000 pounds, an average Thunder Tusk stands just over 10 ft. at the shoulders, and measures roughly 17-20 ft. long. Their massive tusks, a full 15 ft. themselves, crackle with potent electrical energy. Thunder Tusks do not speak. Combat: Thunder Tusks are veritable behemoths. Nearly unstoppable in combat, they charge their opponents with no sense of fear or death. Possessing no intelligence of their own, they will mindlessly attack their opponents until they are destroyed. If given enough room, a Thunder Tusk always opens up combat with a devastating charge attack. Afterwards it attacks the nearest foe until it stops moving, then moves on the to next. Thunder Blast (Su): Any creature struck by a Thunder Tusk’s gore attack takes extra electrical damage (as noted in the stat block) and must make a Reflex save DC 21 or be flung 1d6x5 ft. in a random direction as a deafening clap of thunder blasts them away. This movement does not provoke attacks of opportunity. In addition, any creature that fails its Reflex save, must make a Fortitude save at the same DC or be stunned for 2d6 rounds. The save DC is Constitution-based. |
| Lord_Canius06-23-06, 06:14 PM | Brilliant. Abso-bloody-friggen-lutely briliant. I'm impressed (You can probably tell ;) ) MAEK A FIRE ONE :dancin: :dancin: :dancin: Erm... That would be.. I think it would be cool if you made a fire one. Yes.. |
| Olly06-25-06, 09:46 AM | I agree with Lord Canius. One that belched magical fire and could launch burning needles from its hackles would be an awesome war machine. You could call it a 'tinder tusk'! It could have been used to burn down forests and hopefully burn the druids and rangers hiding inside to death. :evillaugh Also, how about something similar, but in the shape of a stag, with a collection of wands making up its antlers, it could blast magical death at those it didn't crush underfoot. |
| pileobone06-25-06, 12:49 PM | Glad ya'll like it. :) Hmm, a fire based one would be interesting, I'll be thinking about that. Thanks for the support. :D |
