| Teron Gorefiend12-06-06, 12:09 PM | You're probably thinking of the lifeleech otyugh, which is in the Monster Manual 3. |
| Angelflesh12-06-06, 03:28 PM | It's probably not what you're thinking of, but there is the Gulguthydra in MoF. It's a cross between a Otyugh and a Hydra. A bad ass creature if you ask me. |
| Elzaban the Ethereal12-06-06, 04:35 PM | For sake of completeness, the 1e Monster Manual has the Neo-Otyugh. They were pretty much normal Oytughs only larger, more intelligent, and with tougher hide. EDIT: And, of course, in the 3e and 3.5 Monster Manuals, an Otyugh is advanced to 15 HD in the example for how monster advancement works (page 292 in 3.5, can't recall for 3.0, but it's before the actual monster listings.) |
