Part of it depends of seniority, it's just a weak old devil is often slain by an up and coming youngster. What few know is that the devils themselves weren't the first ones to show up in hell. Even fewer know that all of creatures which were there first weren't slain. The sole survivor was infact a human commoner with an amazing gift who was on vacation there. His name is Bill. Bill, Human Commoner 1 Hit Dice: 1d4 - 3 (1) Initiative: -3 Speed: 30ft Armor Class: 7 (-3 Dex) Base Attack / Grapple: +0/-3 Full Attack: Shovel -7 (1d4 - 3) Space / Reach: 5ft. / 5ft. Special Qualities: Immunity to Inconvient Effects Saves: Fort -3, Ref -3, Will +2 Abilities: Str 4, Dex 5, Con 5, Int 11, Wis 14, Cha 13 Skills: Bluff +3, Craft (Blacksmithing) +4, Profession (Farmer) +7 Feats: Skill Focus (Profession Farmer) Challenge Rating: No Immunity to Inconvient Effects: Thanks to a freak magical occurance Bill is immune to any effect which he dubs as inconvient. This fuctions even if the effect is not subject to any form of resistance or immunity. If Bill has been effected by something and later decideds it is inconvient he may dismiss the effect. Bill has in the past been decapated, suffocated, disintegrated, imploded, poisoned, and subject to a number of normally life threatening conditions only to emerge unscathed. Some speculate he died when he was imploded, but then decided death was inconvient and reformed. As of the current count there have been roughly 10^7,518,421 attempts at Bill's life by devils, and all of them have failed. I noticed the saves were wrong.

Mumamuma Wurm 06-10-05, 09:41 PM	How come a shovel only does 1d4? Shovel=stick with metal on the end. Quarterstaff=really long stick. Club=heavy stick. In other words... 1d6 makes a lot more sense for any type of big or heavy stick. And shovels are both big and heavy, in most cases.

was_fired 06-11-05, 03:32 PM	According to Asmodeus no one who has been struck by the shovel has survived to tell the tale so the damage type remains a mystery. Some speculate that Asmodeus slays them personally since those who get into a fight with Bill often discover the he is the true ruler of hell, and it really is bad for Hell's PR if their supreme lord only does 1 point of damage with his best attack.

Kintara 06-12-05, 01:06 PM	Remember, it's immunity to inconvenient effects, which means it's defensive in nature. He can only prevent or remedy inconveniences placed on him. Clearly his second "feat" is his Immunity. Sorry you can't take it. You need to be: Bill, Supreme Lord of Hell (or future Supreme Lord of Hell), Commoner 1. There can only be one! Hah! Now I'm picturing Asmodeus coming over for an important "State" visit as Prime Minister. He accidentally steps on Bill's Begonia patch, and gets a taste of the Royal Shovel.

But the existance of anything and everything affects him in atleast some small way so if he deems an adventuring party an inconveinience he could become imune to the fact they exist thus destroying them, or something like that
