| The Vorpal Tribble09-11-05, 11:00 AM | This lil fellow comes from a series of flash animation stories from Biteycastle.com Heres a link if interested: http://www.biteycastle.com/animation.htm -=-=-=-=-=- Bitey Medium Monstrous Humanoid Hit Dice: 6d8+24 (52 hp) Initiative: +13 Speed: 60 ft. They are malicious, utterly obnoxious beings whom love to torment and startle those around them. If not bothering others they tend to take to the trees, weaving about the thick boughs at a breakneck pace as they race through the woods. Bitey stands about 5 feet tall and weighs around 90 pounds. They can understand common and sylvan but rarely speak. Combat: Bitey's are famed for taunting foes into combat and using their dexterity and cunning to make fools out of their opponents. They are particularly amused by chasing and panicking smaller victims but rarely do them any lasting harm. Explosive Overrun (Ex): If moving at top speed a Bitey can attempt an overrun which affects all beings up to one size category larger than itself in every square around it. This does not provoke an attack of opportunity, nor can the targets choose to avoid him. He also gains a +8 bonus on his Strength check to knock down his opponent or opponents. Brachiation (Ex): Bitey can move through wooded areas at twice its base land speed, ignoring any effects on movement due to terrain. He must be at least 20 feet from the ground and within a medium or dense forest. Improved Evasion (Ex): This ability works like evasion, except that while Bitey still takes no damage on a successful Reflex saving throw against attacks henceforth he henceforth takes only half damage on a failed save. A helpless Bitey does not gain the benefit of improved evasion. Leap (Ex): Bitey is a phenomenal jumper and has a +40 racial bonus on jump checks. Skills: Bitey gains a +4 racial bonus on hide and move silently checks. |
| Olly09-11-05, 11:10 AM | Any chance of you statting up that little yellow farting partridge thing that Bitey was brutalising, Trib? That'd make a cool familiar! :D |
| The Vorpal Tribble09-11-05, 11:22 AM | Was asked that the moment I posted Bitey on another set of forums  -=-=-=-=-=- Yellow Thing Tiny Aberration Hit Dice: 2d8 (12 hp) Initiative: +1 Speed: 30 ft. (4 squares) AC: 14 (+1 dex, +1 natural, +2 size), touch 13, flat-footed 13 BAB/Grapple: +1/-10 Space/Reach: 0 ft./0 ft. Attack: Slam +0 melee (1d2-3) Full attack: Slam +0 melee (1d2-3) Special Attacks: Spittle fling, spell-like abilities Special Qualities: Darkvision 60 ft., resistance to bludgeoning 10 Saves: Fort +0, Ref +1, Will +5 Abilities: Str 5, Dex 13, Con 11, Int 4, Wis 14, Cha 6 Skills: Listen +6, Spot +6 Feats: Alertness Environment: Forest planet of Brackenwood Organization: Solitary CR: 1/8 Alignment: Usually Neutral Treasure: None Advancement: -- Level Adjustment: 2-8 HD (tiny), 9-14 HD (small) Yellow Things appear as little yellow, leathery balls of water with four stumpy legs and a lumpy, neckless head. A wrinkled proboscis-like snout hangs down from its face and oozes spittle constantly. Its language consists of loud hoots and warbles that can be heard over great distances. They speak this native language and sylvan. Combat: These little yellow things of Brackenwood rarely fight. Instead they flee or seek out other beings to protect them. Spell-like abilities: 1/day Charm Monster. Caster level 2. Save DC is wisdom based. Spittle Fling (Ex): The Yellow Thing can release a stream of sticky spittle at the eyes of an attacker once per round as a ranged touch attack with an increment of 5 feet. This momentarily blinds the opponent unless he uses a move action to clear his face. |
| Wyrd Bearer09-11-05, 12:25 PM | An amusing flash series. For the fluff of the yellow thing, doesn't it constantly make noises like someone farting when it breathes which, as we saw in the first one, gives it a penalty to its ability to remain hidden? |
| Hedstrong09-11-05, 01:36 PM | Any chances of posting a prowlie? |
| RavenDrake09-11-05, 11:51 PM | Aww... I was gonna get around to doing Bitey eventually.... Mine'd be better casue it was gonna be a fey. :D Kidding, kddding.... |
| The Vorpal Tribble09-12-05, 12:44 PM | He didn't seem much like a fey, not giving a flying woozle about nature. Also, monsterous humanoid gives him better BAB ;) I'm trying to figure out if the prowlies should be Monsterous Humanoids or Magical Beasts. |
