Black pudding of Shar [Archive] - Wizards Community

01-30-04, 02:42 PM In the Silver Marshes book, there is a monster describe in one of the adventure that is a black pudding of Shar and everytime you damage the creature it get split in two with equal hit point without loosing any hit point.

My question is how to kill it ?

magic only or splitting it until it at 1 hit point!

02-04-04, 01:28 PM all black pudding split like that... and yes once a pudding has 1 hp it can't split any more and any hit will kill it.

also, black pudding don't split and take damage from fire attacks normaly.

02-04-04, 04:27 PM Do continuous area damage, like from Alchemists fire. If the whole area is constantly being damaged, then it doesn't matter if the pudding splits, it'll just keep splitting until it can't split any more, then the area effect will kill it.
