One of many new creatures I am working on. One thing I am concerned about is the training block - does the price for a trained Blackmount sound about right compared to other animals, as well as the difficulty to train?

Any other notes, comments or critiques are welcome.

It stands in the open, brazenly defiant of you. At first glance, it appears to be a large horse, but its forehead is covered in an axe-shaped blade that runs from snout to the tip of its ears. Likewise, its teeth are sharp, not flat and its eyes have a cat-like slit to them. Each breath emits a sulphurous blast of steam, and it stamps its razor-sharp hooves in impatience as it readies to charge.
Blackmounts are fierce, horse-like mammals that roam wild, untamed plains. They resemble large horses with a great axe-bladed horn upon their forehead and long, blade-shaped ears. They have sharp teeth to defend themselves with and their unusual eyes give them a wicked appearance. Blackmounts are curious and generally peaceful, but can be vicious and unforgiving to predators that dare attack their herds.
Blackmounts speak their own language. They cannot speak other languages without magical aid, but can learn other languages if exposed to them.

Combat
When a herd of blackmounts is normally attacked, the males harass the attackers while the females and young flee for safety. If pressed or surrounded though, the group will form a tight circle and defend against those who near them. However, the great intelligence of these creatures means they can usually adapt quickly to unusual situations, and their actions tend towards defensive behaviors.
Flammable Breath(Su):Against aggressive or numerous foes, a blackmount can breath a cloud of explosive vapors that envelopes a 10 foot diameter area up to 25 feet from the blackmount. The explosive gas ignites at the end of the round. Those caught in the area of effect make DC 13 Reflex saves to escape the cloud before it detonates. Those caught in the area of effect take 3d8 damage. The blackmount can breath the vapor only once every 5 rounds.
Stampede(Ex): A herd of Blackmounts can attempt to overrun opponents by racing directly at them. They literally run over anything of size Large or smaller that gets in their way. Trampled foes take 2d8+3 damage.
Females have no forehead blade and cannot breath the explosive vapors. If forced to fight, they can only bite and kick. Young can only attack by biting.

Training A Blackmount
Blackmount steeds can only be trained if captured during infancy. Adult blackmounts are too intelligent and willful to accept a rider.
Training a Blackmount for combat riding takes 4 weeks (DC 24). Purchasing a trained Blackmount costs 12,000 gp.
A Blackmount’s carrying capacity is light: up to 99 lbs, medium: 100-399 lbs and heavy: 400-600 lbs. A blackmount can drag 3,000 lbs.
Blackmount on Amberos
Once, herds of Blackmount raced across the southern lands of Amberos. However, the number of Blackmounts has been rapidly dwindling since after the Dark Age, and wild herds are now usually only encountered in wild areas of Dark Valley, Nauwflowd, the Southern Kingdom and Zarkasti.
While Barbed March is devoid of wild herds of Blackmount, the animal has been domesticated by the March Riders and often sees use in their exotic menangerie of calvary beasts.
