Nifty little creature. I can see a Blackguard beating up one of these things as a little pally-o.

I apologize for saying "pally-o". I hereby resign my position as Member 4 in the Foundation For Not Saying "Pally-O."

If you want to make this little guy extra-special-evil, give him three levels of Rogue and turn him into a sneak-attack sniper.

+5/+5 ranged touch, 3d6/3d6 unholy damage. Have them flying around in a dark area with +18 Hide checks.

Thanks!

Any comment on the appropriateness of CR 4? Its DR 20/+1 seems a little harsh for an unprepared 4th level party... On the other hand, its low HD make it a bit of a paper tiger.

Yeah, very cool! Just a little too tough for my 4th level party, though.

I think it'll be rather easy for these guys to get into the Shadowdancer PrC, too... though with Teleport at Will, Hide in Plain Sight isn't so exciting... hmmm....

-- Nifft Looks like a fine CR4 to me. I think it compares well to the Harpy. It's biggest weakness is probably low intelligence. It won't act with the sort of subtlety that could make it really nasty.
