Blinding a beholder [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-05-05, 09:08 PM So, I was just wondering what other people thought about blinding a beholder with the blindness/deafness spell, or any other means. Do you think it would cause them to loose thier eye ray attacks, what about the central eye, would it blind all the eyes or just 1 or 2? I couldn't find anything about it anywhere, and I suppose the same would go for a few different creatures, including gaze attacks, would being blind kill a gaze attack? Is it dependent on the act of gazing at someone/thing, or on looking into the things eyes, regardless of whethor or not they can see anything? :confused:

Er... but, blinding should stop the eye-beams.

03-06-05, 01:57 AM Beholder eye attacks are rays that shoot out of the eyes. so blining them would only mean that they can't aim the rays.
