Azar_of_Faerun 01-04-07, 09:13 AM	Hey all, a friend DM of mine is running a Blue that came to the side of good, so much so that he dislikes his teeth on the outside and how savage it appears. Asides from illusion magic, what items or techniques would you recommend to hide them, or tuck them inside a larger jaw?

Millennium 01-04-07, 09:37 AM	I'm with runestar; transmutation is probably the best bet here. A modified version of stone shape ought to work. It would probably be a very painful process, though.

runestar 01-04-07, 09:52 AM	Either way, this change would probably be a flavour aspect, and it would probably have no significant in-game effects, except perhaps a small bonus to diplomacy and a slight penalty to intimidate? Feel free to create whatever means you want to have it use. I doubt it will seriously impact game, so I don't really see the need to spell out the process so explicitly. You can probably just gloss over the nitty-gritty.:)

ank 01-04-07, 04:29 PM	No offense, but it sounds like the dragon is a bit too caught up in itself; what I mean is that even without the "savage" teeth it still has claws, a massive tail, and electricity that play across his teeth every time he opens his mouth. However, given that he does want it changed, really the only option would be a spell, as others has suggested (i'd suggest limited wish) because I don't think that surgery would be sophisticated enough to safely shift a dragons teeth.

ank 01-05-07, 08:11 PM	Why was I imagining a dragon with braces???? Strange...a few months ago I got the same idea from reading the jaws of the dragon (or whatever its called, not looking it up now). I actually considered a magical item that, after being worn for X number of year, improved a dragons bite by one size catergory. Then, i realized what i was doing, stopped, and did this: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

It's a 40,000 gp magic item which fits over a dragon's normal teeth. In addition to being shinier, it bumps up bite damage by one size category.
turalisj 01-06-07, 07:12 PM	Have him pray to Bahumut, and hope that the paltinum dragon helps him out. It could ever be worked in that Bahumut came to the blue, changed him into a metallic dragon (in appearance of course), and now the blue is a cleric of Bahumut.
