| Jediknight20060109-28-03, 12:23 AM | Does anyone have the stats for the bone dragon? |
| Vaalingrade Ashland09-28-03, 12:24 AM | I think the Bone Dragon was from Hollowfaust. |
| Gez09-28-03, 02:36 AM | Do you mean the Dracolich template that's in the FRCS? Or the Bonewrack Dragon that's in Sword & Sorcery's Hollowfaust book? Or another creature? Skeletal dragons is hardly an original concept... |
| Jediknight20060109-28-03, 01:05 PM | Not really sure, i was just wondering if there was such a thing so i could use it in a campaign. |
| sandskimmer09-28-03, 01:20 PM | I think it's in the MM2 or the Fied Folio. Not sure. It was called a Drolem in 2ed, and it makes reference to that name in the monster's description. It is a construct, like a golem. That's how it got its original name (golem + dragon = drolem). |
| Gez09-28-03, 03:12 PM | Drolems are dragonflesh golems -- more like Frankeinstein's Creature than like skeletons. You could also simply apply the Skeleton template (from the Revised Monster Manual, also found in the SRD) to a dragon and get a bone dragon. The Dracolich, like its name implies, has several magical capacities. |
| Dex The King09-29-03, 03:04 PM | personally, I'd use dracolich or the bone template from BoVD, they're much better than a skeleton with a skeletal red dragon, it loses its int. , its breath weapon, its spells, and a lot of CR, just check the example from MM 3.5 with a bone red dragon, it gains better DR (10-15/magic and bludgeoning i think), and it keeps its other stuff, even spells dracolich is like bone, but even if you "kill" it, it comes back, just like a lich or, you could always just do it yourself, just give a dragon skeleton DR and undead traits, not taking anything from it, its up to you |
| Dex The King09-29-03, 03:05 PM | if you don't have Races of Faerun or BoVD, I suppose I could even make a bone dragon and post it |
| ConfusedUs09-29-03, 06:12 PM | The FANG DRAGON from Monsters of Faerun is pretty nice. It's a lean, mean, melee machine. The things are nasty in direct combat. This is a dragon, that unlike some, can actually stand in the middle of a fight and beat the everlovin CRAP out of the party's tank. Give the thing the flyby attack and snatch feat, and you can seriously mess with a party. Swoop down, grab the mage with a bite (draining constitution), fly up 200 feet, and drop 'em. Be sure to dispell the featherfall. Dead mage. Wash, rinse, and repeat with anyone that could possible hurt a flying dragon...and then play with the rest ;) |
| Vaalingrade Ashland09-29-03, 06:28 PM | If you want a superfiacial resemblance to a Bone Dragon: My To'jin'kai (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=85972) looks the part. |
| Argarnis09-30-03, 10:47 AM | I suggest The Bone creature template from the BoVD. |
