Hi there
I am a rather new D&D GM and would like ppl to look at my bonegolem and see if it seems to be correct made to be a CR 7 monster.
If not what would it be, and any ideas for it are welcome.
(I used the Flesh Golem as my base and looked at skeletons as well for flavor)
The creature has four arms, and thus 4 atks. so in order to compensate I lowered AC, HP and dam.
So the question is whether itīs in balance?
Thx in advance

The creature:
Bone Golem; CR 7; Large Construct; HD 7d10+30; hp 69; Init 0; Spd 30 ft; ; AC 16 (touch 9; flat-footed 17); Base Atk +6; Grp +15; Atk +9 L. sword 2d6+3, Full Atk +7 four L. swords 2d6+3; Special abilities Berserk, Construct traits, damage reduction 5/adamantine, darkvision 60 ft, immunity to magic, low-light vision; AL Neutral; Save Fort +3; Ref +3; Will +3; Abilities Str 17; Dex 11; Con -; Int -; Wis 10; Cha 1.
Skills, feats & languages: Multi attack, Multi weapon fighting.
Possesions: Four large longswords.

You might wanna try the monster's Lair forums

Why is the flat-footed AC higher than normal AC? Why does it have multi-attack if it uses manufactured weapons exclusively? Base attack should be 5 and all saves 2, as appropriate for a construct of 7 HD. I don't have much experience with CR assignment, so I can't much help you there...

As the previous poster said, this belongs in the Monster's Lair section, as you would not want players trying to be one...

Multiattack is for natural weapons only. If the golem uses only manufactured weapons, the feat is useless.

By the way, if a monster has no Intelligence score, it gains no skills or feats.

Edit: What are the modifiers to its AC? Like locustechpriest said, something is wrong-Flat footed AC can't be higher than normal AC.

Not bad. You realize that there already are bone golems right? And a bone golem just isn't a bone golem without a horrifying laugh that scares you to death.

Curiously, which book?

By the way, this post was already "moved" (that is, reproduced) here: Click! (http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=904130)

Which Book? Well, Bone Golems were originally in the 2nd edition Ravenloft Monstrous Compendium volume 1 (along with the gargoyle, doll, necrophidius, zombie, glass, and mechanical golems) and then they got reprinted in the Hardcover "Mega" Monster Manual. They didn't get the 3rd edition treatment untill Necromancer's "Tome of Horrors" which updates all the neato critters that didn't make it to 3rd ed in wizards books.

I wasnīt aware it already had been made no.
I have never heard of the book you are speaking sry.
I already had reposted the thread before this was moved so if anyone are interested plz follow the link just above.
Btw I donīt think itīs correct that INT 0 creatures get no feats, zombies have toughness fx.
I am in no way an expert here so might be wrong?

Feats and skills are a representation of training and expertise. If a creature has no Intelligence score, it is incapable of gaining feats and skills. Zombies get toughness (and skeletons get Improved Initiative), but that is thanks to the template. Any feats a mindless creature has are bonus feats, since they can't get them any other way.
