I recently ran an encounter with a pair of slightly modified bralani, and ran into an odd situation. While in whirlwind form, a bralani is still technically fully corporeal, and can be hit normally. Thematically, this is not a problem, but how on earth can you justify grappling a whirlwind? The way I did it was to say that the whirlwind form was just that - a form, and had enough substance to it to grapple (this was aided by hit descriptions that made arrows/blades clang off the whirlwind). still, this bothers me, as it should be nigh impossible to grab and keep hold of a swirling mass of sand (or snow, or....) your opinions?
