If you bury someone drained by a vampire, they rise as a Spawn and/or Vampire based on Level.

What if you cremate them? Put them on a platform out in the air (like American Indians)? Mummify them?

You are in fact removing their heart and other inards in the process of mumification and so your mummy shouldnt rise as a vampire if filled with crap like spices because if you think about it...
it might have the effect of garlic

as for burning of course the vampire is totaly boned.

Oh yeah then how about if you freeze them or bury them at sea? For that matter wouldn't zombies have a heck of a time in the frozen north?

perserving the undead like a chunk of meat in a freezer (side of effect of freezer burn) can u say one hell of a well perserved dead body would make for a nice zombie.

But zombies suck...why not somthing more advanced?

And one with other undead

A vampire incased in ice could break free

im gona say ice wouldnt really be a problem to the dearly departed.
Heat is what would screw em...
water tends to preserve boddies but since when did the guppies leave the body alone...noo they eat it.

BUt habing the undead rise in water isnt unusual. There are lacedon in the MM which are aquatic ghouls. Perhaps some sort of aquatic vampire will rise. If it doesnt get eaten first of course.

This is probably why people were usually buried in consecrated ground, with holy wafers (or something similar) in their mouths. To be totally safe though you can decapitate the body and bury the head in a seperate coffin.

But wouldn't the zombie have a hard time moving since it is frozen. Most likely it would shatter if it moved as a matter of fact cold would be the bane of any fleshy undead. Just something I think about.

The sea might count as "running water" so the newly risen vampire would have a lifespan of about 18 seconds.

What if you raise them from the dead or animate tham as a non-vampire type of undead before they rise as vampires, what would that do?
