| Pallin Rahl02-13-07, 05:11 PM | Let me start by saying: Yes, this is quite obviously a very powerful template... one clearly not intended to be used by PCs. This is simply a template to be applied to a specific enemy, for special plot reasons. My question: By how much do you feel the following template should increase the creature's CR? Special Template Str +8, Dex +4, Con +4 Natural Armor +4 DR 5/-- Regeneration 1 (bypassed by Holy) Fast Healing 4 Powerful Build: The physical stature of this creature lets them function in many ways as if he were one size category larger. Whenever this creature is subject to a size modifier or special size modifier for an opposed check (such as during grapple checks, bull rush attempts, and trip attempts), this creature is treated as one size larger if doing so is advantageous to him. The benefits of this racial trait stack with the effects of powers, abilities, and spells that change the subject’s size category. Bonus Feats: Power Attack, Improved Bull Rush, Improved Unarmed Strike, Superior Unarmed Strike, Improved Natural Attack Special Attack - Knockback: If this creature scores a hit while using the Power Attack feat, he can make a free bull rush attempt against the foe he hit, applying the number by which he reduced his attack roll as a bonus on the opposed Strength check (as well as on the damage he deals). If he hits with a twohanded weapon or his unarmed strike, he can apply double that number on the opposed Strength check. Unlike standard bull rush attempts, knockback attempts don’t provoke attacks of opportunity, and he doesn’t move with the enemy he knock backward. ...the combo of DR, Regen and Fast Healing might push this CR too high... I'd be open to some alteration of course. I expect this to be a decently high CR boost regardless. :) |
