08-08-06, 02:04 PM i might be missing some thing but ive been unable to find the cambion in any MM is ithis because its classed as a half fiend
and secondly has any one stated the 2 types of cambion and if so where can i see them

08-08-06, 02:11 PM IIRC, 'Cambion' is just a synonym for Half-Fiend. No mechanical difference.

08-09-06, 12:58 PM The first mention I know of a cambion was in the AD&D MMII on page 37. It was classified as a semi-demon, with the half succubus semi demon, the Alu-fiend, on pg 35.

Funny to think that they are listed as semi demons...

or which book is the half demon template in that i would use to make the cambion

08-09-06, 02:10 PM The Half-Fiend template from the Monster Manuel. A cambion is simply a humanoid with the half-fiend template (at least according to the description in the MM).

08-09-06, 04:04 PM yeh but does the template cover its spell casting ability and was it a move silenty and hide in shadows in full plate armour at like 90% ability

08-11-06, 12:27 PM Marquis Cambions in 2nd edition were hugely powerful. They could start out with a Charisma score of 24, and this was back when all abilities maxed out at 25. I never understood those half-demons...

as i think half demon templates a bit poor realy i liked them the most. out of all the other ones think they make great assasins

08-14-06, 12:38 AM To be technical about it, Cambions are the always male half-fiend offspring of a male Tanar'ri and a female mortal. Cambions are then further classed as either Major or Baron/Marquis Cambions depending on the type of Tanar'ri involved (ie lesser, greater, true tanar'ri).

Also mentioned in passing in 3.5 are Alu-fiends which are the female half-fiend offspring of a female succubus and a male mortal.
