Does that attack even work against Shapeshifters and Dopplegangers? I would say no. Shapechangers can revert to their own form after subjected to an attack that alters it. |
| FrostHammer02-26-07, 01:11 AM | But the attack also does Wis damage right? |
| AlanBruce02-26-07, 09:44 AM | But the attack also does Wis damage right? Yes. A Shapehanger would suffer the wisdom damage as a result of the madness effect associated with the Chaos Beast (they aren't immune to that effect). But his appearance would remain the same. |
| Naderion02-26-07, 12:52 PM | Though Doppelganger can shape their bodies, they have a lot of limitaions, most importantly they aare bound to their bones. I'd say their abilities work much like a chameleons: they can change the shape of their outside, but their inside just shifts to an arangement fitting the bodies shape. A chaos beast could still do a lot of nasty things to such a creature. |
| Domriso02-26-07, 07:02 PM | Since a shapechange spell can fix the amorphous form imparted by a Chaos Beast most shapechangers would easily be able to return to their normal form. But the wisdom damage would still occur since even being an amorphous ooze form a short time has to be a bit maddening. |
