Can a Dread Wraith see through solid objects? [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-25-07, 06:47 PM So... Blindsight operates within 'line of effect' and since a Dreadwraith is incorporeal, solid objects only provide concealment, not cover against it. So would he be able to use his lifesense (works like blindsight) ability to see through solid objects. Could he hide in the ground under a character and make attacks without the normal 50% miss chance? It doesn't seem to me that blindsight should be any different for a creature if they become incorporeal, but it does seem to change their line of effect and thus would affect blindsight. Any official rulings or your opinions would be appreciated.

06-25-07, 09:38 PM Thanks for the answer. Actually, I noticed that they DO get blind-fight after posting, and that pretty much settled it in my mind.

However, he'd have to come out of the ground a little in order to attack, giving him only cover instead of total cover, and someone could ready an action to clobber him.
