Can a gynosphinx create one symbol per week, or one of each kind of symbol per week? [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-03-07, 08:00 PM Once per week a gynosphinx can create a symbol of death, a symbol of fear, a symbol of insanity, a symbol of pain, a symbol of persuasion, a symbol of sleep, and a symbol of stunning as the spells (caster level 18th), except that all save DCs are 22 and each symbol remains a maximum of one week once scribed. The save DCs are Charisma-based.

Does this mean she can create one symbol per week from that list, or does that mean she can create up to seven different symbols each week?

Strictly RAW, I would say the latter since the word "and" is at the end of the list instead of "or."

If you use a gynosphinx as a guardian, that can get nasty if she wards whatever she is guarding with seven different symbols. Of course she would ask you a riddle and the answer to that riddle will be the password to bypass the symbols without triggering them, but still....

Especially when the word "spells" is plural...
