It gains the ability to over-run creatures one category smaller than itself and smaller, treating them as grappled and dealing damage to them each round. They can cut their ways out with claw attacks and light slashing and piercing weapons, or by making a strength check or escape artist check. It also gains an ability to assume the shape of a boulder as a defensive tactic, improving its normal 10/magic DR to 15/-. Would a thomil be able to assume said defensive form while enveloping any engulfed creatures? Would the increased DR apply against them? Edit: I had another thought. The engulf ability allows a thomil to move and attack normally even when enveloping a creature. Could not an Earth Elemental-based Thomil engulf an opponent, then use its Earthglide ability to travel down 30 ft. into the ground, and then 'drop off' the opponent, leaving him to rot 30 ft below the surface? The thomil description does not specifically say that it can release engulfed creatures, but given that it basically 'flows' over them in order to engulf opponents, I don't see why one could not just 'flow' off of an engulfed creature.
