Hey there everyone. I just wanted to post up a new monster I made tonight and try to get a bit of feedback. One thing is I got about halfway through making this when I realized that I was basically making a Drider so I did my own thing with it. Anyhow, please take a look and let me know what you think. Description: the drider hunter is a foul creation of drow magics. Created to hunt the drider, a natural enemy to the drow. It has the upper body of a drow and the lower body of a large monstrous spider. After many decades of drow being forced from their underground homes due to driders, they created their own version of the rejects of lolth.
Combat: a drider hunter is a fierce opponent in battle. They prefer to stalk from the shadows and will use their keen sense of listen and darkvision to ambush their pray. Once engaged in battle, they will never retreat.
Special abilties/qualities: darkvision 120 ft. spell resistance 16
Drow poison: dc 13 fort. Save or be unconscious for 1 minute after which target must succeed another dc 13 fort save or remain unconscious for another 2d4 hours.
Tail sting: fort save dc 18 initial damage 1d6 str. Secondary damage 1d6 str. The dc is constitution based.
Skills: the drider hunter has a +4 racial bonus to hide and move silently. They are expert climbers and can always take 10 on climb checks.

The formating is, but that's between you and God.

Anyway: seems ok. It could do with a CR on it. Also, in what way is it particularly good at hunting driders, if that's the point of it?

It has a CR of 7...It's kinda hidden in there, sorry. As for the what makes it a good Drider hunter...Good question. I need to come up with something for that. Thats why I posted it here, I needed some feedback. Thanks much!!!:D

Give it a Favored Enemy bonus that only applies to driders.

You could give it a racial resistance to saves against attacks or SLA used by driders.

Maybe it is just me, but the Drow hate Driders. Driders exist because the Goddess of the Drow cursed "bad" drow for not being good followers. Thus, Driders are a sign of disfavor from Lolth.

So, to combat this hated racial and religious enemy, they created their own version of it?
