See topic.

Nowhere does it say they can voluntarily shut it down... That would make it terrible for Succubi to start any kind of relationship, no wonder they're evil o_O

Unless I'm hallucinating or just plain-out missing things... Cuz if this is true, I'm going to house-rule this... Poor critters... They just wanted a kiss, they can't help it that they suck you dry ^^;

well, I'm betting it can be. when you look at Elucida from the creature competition, it said she had an angelic lover, so unless he was somehow immune, life would suck. (bad pun.)

so I'm betting on yes, but not completely sure.

It's an attack. It requires a standard action to use. So it doesn't just happen "automatically".

Any half-decent kiss takes effort. Nevermind the other method of using the ability...

*Agrees wholeheartedly with CantripN*

A I'm pretty sure that, in the situation I'm planning to use, you're not even going to count in rounds ;3 But I'm not going to make this for the Mature forum, so I won't go on about that ;3

Yeah, it can probably be turned off. It's probably a DM call, really.

Does the name of this thread sound kind of like a double entrende to anyone else, given the context?

I imagine it can be, as low level succubi (from Savage Species) only have a certain number of uses per day. This implies that they can choose when to use it for those uses, and thus in general.

Also, how 'Evil' would it be to use? And could I keep the Suggestion but leave to Energy Drain at bay? Would it be overpowered to do the latter?

I think energy drain is negative energy, which is usually pretty evil. I don't know why you'd only want a suggestion to keep on kissing, but I don't see how it would be broken, as long as you aren't using it while your friends pound the unfortunate victim. I would say, just make any attack stop the suggestion train if no energy drain is in play. I'm still not quite sure of the purpose, though.

Purpose? How about: "Keep kissing me, you hot thing, you!".

I think it's a matter of approach. There was this test I once took, that told you whether you were a Powergamer, Specialist, Tactician, Casual Gamer or some other type of gamer.

I scored as a Specialist, which rings true. It said I like things that are cool and awesome, such as ninjas and wizards. That also means I think of the coolness of everything, such as the inherent sex appeal of a Succubus, rather than her combat ability. Stats are NOT everything (though they DO matter)!

It's not the stats, it's how you use 'em?

That works, but since it doesn't have any in-game effect (besides tying up someone's attention) I can't imagine why it would be "broken". What I was getting at is, if something doesn't cause game balance issues, it's not broken.

I have also wondered about the modivation of the succubus. Do they take pleasure in lust? Do they like the side-effects of draining someone? Do they want to kill? What would one do if it was traped on Isengard (sp?) (the plane with free ressurections)? (How much would someone pay for a night with such a demoness if they would come back good as new the next day? (outsider prostitution!?!))

Well, seeing as I read the Liber Chaotica (Games Workshop, I know, but still), I think it's pretty much as varied as for people... But my Succubus? She enjoys the more affectionate part, kissing, hugging, etc. Of course, she's still a Demon in the sack, if you excuse the pun ;)

But yeah, CantripN, I agree with that POV, although usually I end up either vastly overpowered or vastly underpowered ;)
