Bragol 03-01-06, 12:37 PM	I just discovered that the Sladdi are not in the SRD (not between Skum and Spectre at any rate). They are in MMI. I thought that all hard content in the core books was in the SRD. What gives?
Golem011 03-01-06, 12:43 PM	Umm... the reason is, that certain creatures (mostly those unique to wizards) such as the Mind Flayer and the Displacer Beast are not included, as Wizards like to keep them just in the books.

Zherog 03-01-06, 02:35 PM	Yep - the creatures that are WotC's intellectual property are not in the SRD. Doing so would grant any publisher in the world who included a copy of the OGL permission to use those creatures any way they wanted. Among the ones I know of that are missing (some previously mentioned) are beholders, displacer beasts, mind flayers, and slaad. There's probably one or two others that appear in the MM but aren't in the SRD.
SOPI 03-01-06, 03:05 PM	Basically, if it's not a monster that has showed up in books, movies, or mythology etc. (pretty much anything Gygax and any of his succesors didn't come up with out of the blue), it won't be in the SRD. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Tojanida isn't there either.
