I was told you guys and gals could possibly help me with this conversion:

I'm wondering if anyone could help me by doing a write up of a Radiance Elemental from the 2e Monster compendium Appendix 3 page 84? I have liked this elemental for awhile, but haven't seen any 3e or 3.5e stats for it. As a matter of fact I'm not sure there is a quasielemental plane of Radiance anymore, but could someone still help me?

Thanks, in advanced.

Your best bet is to post this, or at least a link to this thread, on the "manuel of the planes" board. It's full of old timers like me, except most of them still have all their old edition books to check with.

I'm not an oldtimer... *looks at self* I'm 25, never played DnD till 3rd ed was out. I just happen to adore the 2e Planescape material (which frankly is at or near the peak of quality for DnD products ever).

3e left out all of the paraelemental and quasielemental planes. In the name of simplicity or so the argument goes. What some call simplicity, I call a sad lack of flavor. They also NERFED the Ethereal plane, but that's another thread for another time.

Without looking up my books, I'd modify an air elemental, give it some blinding and prismatic spray abilities (when high enough HD).

Sorry Shemeska, didn't mean to insinuate that you are old, just that you (and the others on MotP board) all seem like veteran gamers. Myself, I'm only 24, but have been playing D&D since before 1st edition, the old red box that came out of "basic rules". I guess it never occured to me that someone who does 3e but owns lots of the 2e planescape stuff wouldn't have started pre-3e.
