| Shadezz0fHades05-30-04, 04:31 PM | I dunno... I guess it depends on how decayed the zombie is. |
| Ssussunriyh05-30-04, 06:56 PM | In 3.0, zombies seem to be limited to slam attacks. According to the 3.5 MM, page 266: "Attacks: A zombie retains all the natural weapons, manufactured weapon attacks, and weapon proficiencies of the base creature. A zombie also gains a slam attack. "Damage: Natural and manufactured weapons deal damage normally. A slam attack deals damage according to the zombie's size..." and so forth. So if the base creature could use a bow, then yes, a zombie of the creature can still use a bow. |

This would be why the human commoner zombie is reduced to a slam attack. However, it would seem to make sense that a human warrior zombie would be able to make use of any simple or martial weapons. It has been a common house rule in my games that skeletons and zombies reanimated with weapons in their hands are able to make use of them. However, equipping a zombie or skeleton with an exotic weapon will not provide them with the exotic weapon feat. |
