The characters will be sent with knowledge that they will be fighting a carrion crawler and will be briefed on its details and will be prepared with a small quantity of at-cost potions of remove paralysis but at level 2 will not be able to actually cast the spell themselves. Am I setting the stage for a "bad thing" here? |
| yonman01-04-06, 02:25 PM | The encounter is doable, it rates as very difficult but not impossible. Since they will be briefed and prepared, I really don't see how they could fail unless they were stupid or got some really bad die rolls, but that's how the cookie crumbles. |

| ubernex01-04-06, 04:33 PM | No problem provided they: a) act on the info given and prepare in a rational manner b) are not some kludge of wacked-out character ideas that won't really be effective until much higher levels. I've had a number of games wrecked by everyone trying out their new "concept" without a though to how completely weak and useless the character tends to be at very low levels. |
| spncrbrrtt01-04-06, 07:51 PM | if you have someone with a healing spell and a fighter its easy... |
