how do feats like mounted combat, ride-by attack -and those referring to fighting while on a mount- work if I am a Centaur???

As a feat, Mounted Combat would do absolutely nothing for a centaur.

First, since the prereq is a rank in the Ride skill, and it's doubtful a centaur would ride anything, well you get the idea. Second, since its entire purpose is to negate a hit to your mount and the centaur doesn't have a mount, it's essentially worthless.

If you wanted to develop a centaur character as a cavalry type (Ride-By Attack, Trample, etc.) I would suggest working with the DM to modify those feats to suit your character, taking out the Mounted Combat prereq and simply making one of the prereqs "must be a Tauric creature".

Since I don't have access to the Savage Species book, I'm not currently aware if there is any content there that would address this issue. Might be something to look into though.

Technically, the feats do nothing for a centaur. However, a good house rule (IMO) is to ignore the mounted combat feat (so it can't be taken & isn't a prerequisite) but allow the other mounted combat feats to work as if the centaur was someone mounted.
