| wikkidkarma04-03-06, 02:57 AM | Can anyone share any insights with me on giving character classes to a non-humanoid monster? Specifically a worg with a level of cleric. Is there any DM's that have or would allow this and if you would or have, how would you handle spell casting? Any opinions would be welcomed. |

A worg can certainly become a cleric, assuming it's devout and finds a deity willing to accept its worship. As for spellcasting, this depends where the critter learns the art. If it's from a humanoid spellcaster, I would say the worg has to take Natural Spell (http://www.wizards.com/d20/files/v35/Feats.rtf), ignoring the wild shape prerequisite, allowing it to use humanoid somatic and verbal components. If it is self-taught or learned from another nonhumanoid spellcaster, I would assume the critter knows how to yip and howl and wave its paws in the correct fashion to cast spells without a special feats. Basically it's using all the spellcasting components adapted to a nonhumanoid body. Aside from that, use the spellcasting rules as written. |
