| land_salmon12-09-06, 06:37 PM | yeah i just thought of it and have no idea of what it should do except for basic stuff. this is part serious and part joke most people think this is a joke eh? review appreciated This is what i have so far breath weapon once every 1d4 rounds 30ft cone of radio active gas save dc 19 Ini mutation Sec 2d6 con ( this is an epic monster) Mutation % ____________ 1-10: skin becomes corrosive and noxious hurting their muscle tissues greatly decreasing speed to 10, one action only, and -10 on attack and dmg (str penaltie reduces to +0) and eyes are blinded for 2d6 rounds ____________ 11-20 pores start forming over body producing poison that hurt others within 10ft DC 25 Ini 2d6 con Sec melting form ( body starts dripping and falling apart constantly dealing 5 dmg every other minute ) ____________ 21-30 tendrils start spouting out of body flailing at anything nearby ( 1d4 +5 plus 3d6 acid ) the damage is bludgening 17-20 times 4 ____________ 31 and beyond your ideas i was thinking everyone can join in to make this massive beast like a melting pot of ideas..... yeah well ill be cyin ya |
| benstundze12-09-06, 06:55 PM | well uranium is a radio active element. radio active elements decomposes (like garbage I.E. a rotting apple) into 2 stable and smaller elements. in that process energy is realest as the element brakes down, sucking electrons out of things(stealing them from your cells if close enough) creating a vacuum of electrons being stolen(hence the collapsing of buildings and what not). in this process heat is release(whenever chemistry is supplied heat is release). and these cells are dead, or damaged, some reproduce and hence cancer. so the fact that you think its a gaseous breath weapon is not really realistic. Ben P.S. nice idea tho |
| Majick12-09-06, 07:11 PM | Is there a particular reason you want it to be Uranium? I mean, yes it is one of those substances that gets a lot of press because of it's ability to be used in various armaments, but couldn't it just as easily be made of something else and simply cause mutation; like a Plague Dragon, Bile Dragon or some such creature? |

Ben P.S. nice idea tho well... i think of it like some really asmart guy discovered uranium on an exphadicion right? and he beleives it has mutatious affects as it killed his cohorts in unusual ways (mutation) so then he discovers a monster later on nearby the uranium and mutates stuff like it as well. sooo he calls it uranium dragon see? |
| obrysii12-09-06, 09:36 PM | This is the wrong board for this. You want the "monsters" board. Also: in ancient times, Uranium was used for really only one thing: coloring glass. |
| land_salmon12-09-06, 09:45 PM | This is the wrong board for this. You want the "monsters" board. Also: in ancient times, Uranium was used for really only one thing: coloring glass. ok thanks for pointing out my problem |
| Kresalak12-09-06, 10:39 PM | see i think of it like this, gold dragon, silver dragon, why not uranium dragon? The dragons don't follow any patern. Brass and bronze are alloys, gold silver and copper are elements. |
| benstundze12-09-06, 10:54 PM | well i think there is a patter in there somewhare (power wise) but he means that gold and silver are populer metals and aparently so is uranium but i think a ice dragon is in need |
| land_salmon12-09-06, 10:57 PM | well i think there is a patter in there somewhare (power wise) but he means that gold and silver are populer metals and aparently so is uranium but i think a ice dragon is in need Ice Dragon eh...? dont they have that in some MM i know there are crystalline ones. actually there is something like Ice Dragons in that one book, Draconomicon? iuno  |
| Kresalak12-09-06, 11:22 PM | I want a sodium chloride dragon if we have crystal ones. |
| Sphyre12-09-06, 11:48 PM | I imagine, that if you defeat a uranium dragon, and find it's treasure horde, it'd have uranium swords? ;) |
| Kresalak12-09-06, 11:58 PM | I want an ununoctium sword! |
| obrysii12-10-06, 12:36 AM | There are four basic themes behind dragons: *Metals *Colors *Gems *Anything else (generally they are Planar dragons). |
| TheAnthroDM12-10-06, 01:24 AM | I want a sodium chloride dragon if we have crystal ones. I think my character once battled a sodium chloride dragon. |
| Jaxgaret12-10-06, 11:50 AM | cleshay It took me a moment to figure out what exactly this word was meant to be. It's spelled cliche. Don't just make up spellings for words. |
| Angelflesh12-10-06, 01:46 PM | I don't think he even knows what "cliche" means, because the way he used doesn't quite make sense. Is a "Plague Dragon" really a cliche? |
| Kresalak12-10-06, 01:53 PM | It took me a moment to figure out what exactly this word was meant to be. It's spelled cliche. Don't just make up spellings for words. He actually meant LeShay, the 50 HD fey things from the Epic Level Handbook. |
| land_salmon12-10-06, 01:57 PM | I don't think he even knows what "cliche" means, because the way he used doesn't quite make sense. Is a "Plague Dragon" really a cliche? im saying the word cliche correctly, its just that they have the Corpse Terror in mm2 that spreads disease and everyone i know suggested the "Plague Dragon". if you want however, i can make a Plague dragon? |
| Harkle12-10-06, 02:03 PM | Simulate the radioctive decay by making them born a Great Wyrm and age down to wyrmling until they die. |
| El Programer12-10-06, 02:39 PM | I imagine, that if you defeat a uranium dragon, and find it's treasure horde, it'd have uranium swords? ;)Oh God no... :D |
| Yaeri12-10-06, 03:14 PM | In the munchkin mobster manual, there was a plutonium dragon. The higher its age, the smaller it was. The youngest plutonium dragons were great wyrms. Then as they aged they started to radiate more and more mass, gradually becoming smaller. The strongest, oldest plutonium dragons were the smallest. If you don't know munchkin: http://www.sjgames.com/munchkin/rpg/ It's basically a sort of parody on D&D. I think it first appeared in the form of a card game, before they actually made a complete D20 game of it too. |
| Weiser_Cain12-10-06, 03:21 PM | It should definitely have a toxic aura, I wouldn't let on it was actually Uranium though just 'a bizarre dragon seemingly made of metal and giving off a sickly glow’ then make then constantly make them roll con checks an epic raging barbarian would think twice about. Nice epic encounter. |
| Rulebook12-10-06, 03:34 PM | sodium chloride dragons? isnt there already a Salt Dragon somewhere? |
| land_salmon12-10-06, 03:48 PM | sodium chloride dragons? isnt there already a Salt Dragon somewhere? Sand Dragon, not salt dragon |
| benstundze12-10-06, 03:52 PM | I want an ununoctium sword! ya really lol got to love that movie |
| Rulebook12-10-06, 03:52 PM | silicon dioxide dragons! |
| benstundze12-10-06, 04:04 PM | Ice Dragon eh...? dont they have that in some MM i know there are crystalline ones. actually there is something like Ice Dragons in that one book, Draconomicon? iuno  i just got the MM4 and dont know if its in there but its not in dragonomics (im a dragon fan) i eaven made a bace class that has a dragon companion if sorts lol but i can top that rulebook: how about a "hydrated calsium vandium silican oxide" dragon heh  |
| land_salmon12-10-06, 04:13 PM | well what about a einstinium sulfide dsragon? or better yet a psionide dragon... then again thats a compound  |
| Rulebook12-10-06, 05:09 PM | good lord, you people, just STOP trying to type chemical names! Cyanide, Calcium, Silicon! |
| CryoSilver12-10-06, 05:37 PM | To answer ben's question, there are 2 ice dragons in the Monster Manual: the white dragon and the silver dragon. To make them true Ice Dragons, all you do is use the stats and describe them differently. It's very much like how my last wizard had a second level spell that allowed him to hurl bolts of flame at his enemies. It was Scorching Ray, but described differently. Don't think outside the box if the answer is already inside the box. |
| Jaxgaret12-10-06, 07:19 PM | psionide dragon... then again thats a compound It's cyanide, not psionide. And it's not a compound, it's an element. You are like Captain Phonetic, aren't you? Either that or a troll poster. |
| Vagrond12-10-06, 08:12 PM | I imagine, that if you defeat a uranium dragon, and find it's treasure horde, it'd have uranium swords? ;) Hehe- that was a long and pointless thread. |
| Vagrond12-10-06, 08:14 PM | Is there an Iron Dragon somewhere? I find the idea appealing. |
| Weiser_Cain12-10-06, 08:20 PM | A dragon casting Iron Skin? |
| WizO_Cat12-10-06, 09:29 PM | This woul go better on Monster's Lair board. I'll move it there. |
| schri1212-10-06, 10:38 PM | Why not a Hydrochloric Acid Dragon? lmao had to put in my two cents. |
| Vagrond12-10-06, 10:57 PM | A dragon casting Iron Skin? Not quite. |
| Weiser_Cain12-10-06, 11:09 PM | How about a dragon made of Negative energy? |
| Harkle12-10-06, 11:52 PM | How about a dragon made of Negative energy? That would be a Shadow dragon. I had a friend one force me to help him state Infared Dragon, was invisible without magic or the ability to see infared. That and it put out more heat than a red dragon. |
| benstundze12-11-06, 12:44 PM | lead oxid? AKA vary vary heavy |
| Doom_Linnorm12-11-06, 02:15 PM | If you look on Elfwood you'll find an Uranium dragon, and it looks pretty cool actualy, its also got a pretty nice description and would make a decent epic monster. |
| benstundze12-11-06, 02:50 PM | is that a book or a website or what? |
